Philosophy

You remember that feeling? That childlike curiosity that made you fall into rabbit holes of nerdiness for no reason at all.

Yeah. That died the moment learning became utilitarian. Entrance exams. Jobs. Startup funding. Everything became a means to an end. And the end just kept moving.

Pint of View is a protest song against that utilitarianism.

Our lectures have no tangible ROI. No job promotions. No placements. Just ideas, curated well enough to pull you in.

We find professors who make you think. Who make you learn for the pure unadulterated joy of learning. Not so you can get a job. Not so you can sound smarter on a date. But so you go home with questions. So you Google at 2 am and fall into your own rabbit hole again.

Like you did the first time you might have heard about black holes or read Shakespeare.

We're here to help you become the polymath you’ve always wanted to be, without knowing.

Our Story

July 2025

Pint of View started as a weekend experiment to take knowledge out of classrooms and into bars.

Founded by Meghna Chaudhary, Harsh Snehanshu and Shruti Sah, it struck a nerve immediately. The very first lecture in Bangalore sold out in three days.

The founders come from very different worlds. Meghna is a machine learning engineer, violinist, and illustrator, currently at University College London. Harsh studied physics and liberal arts, then spent a decade building and parenting the YC-backed writing app YourQuote. Shruti studied literature and media, then went on to build brands for over ten years before branching out as a documentary filmmaker. Together, Harsh & Shruti have started Cubbon Reads and Bookmark — a dating app for readers before, and are now running Pint of View full-time.

Tired of waiting for Lectures on Tap (US) to come to India, they decided to build its Indian version themselves. Within six months of their launch in mid-2025, Pint of View has spread to 13+ cities across India. What began as a weekend project is now a daily ritual in Bangalore and a weekly habit in a dozen other cities and counting.

Now, it’s going global, starting with London!

What We Do

Curated Lectures: Insight Over Inspiration

Thoughtfully selected topics and speakers with deep knowledge & original research, mostly vetted university level professors. Strictly no motivational, biographical or business talks. Just pure arts & pure sciences.

Relaxed Spaces With a Pint!

Bars, coworking spaces, and bookstores — informal venues that encourage open dialogue over drinks with no power dynamic between the lecturer & the attendee.

Learning for the Joy of Learning

No hidden agendas, no tangible ROIs. Pure intellectual curiosity, long QnAs to satiate your soul, and the simple pleasure of expanding your mind.

Nominate a Speaker

We only host speakers who:

  • Have experience leading public talks for large audiences (150-200 people!)
  • Bring original research or unique subjects, simplifying them without making it simplistic
  • Offer niche, interdisciplinary topics that spark interest among everyday audiences
  • A prior YouTube link of an academic talk (TEDx doesn't cut it!) or a reference from our existing lecturers really help us move fast and filter out the candidate

Note: We avoid broad themes like AI, entrepreneurship, or generic mental health. Instead, we love talks at intersections — say, AI in politics, or preserving the mental health of Tihar Jail inmates.

We strictly don't host business, biographical (anecdotal) and motivational talks. Our audience is older (average age is 30+), and is looking for insights over inspiration. Over time, we have found ourselves gravitating towards senior academicians with a wide body of published research over hobbyists, as they bring their own research and are able to answer most questions.
